For Mika Tajima’s Total Body Conditioning at Art In General, Alvin Aronson collaborated with New Humans on Leisure Drill (Cardio Dub), the soundtrack playing throughout the gallery space that triggers lighting temperature shifts.
Aronson will perform an extended live version of the composition in the exhibition space and New Humans will present a new vocal text for the listening party performed over “hanging strings,” an element of house music that becomes an auditory illusion–infinitely tensing and ascending without break.
