AIRBNB Pavilion @ 14th Venice Architecture Biennale

Sure, you’ve tested NYC’s housing laws by sub-renting your rented apartment out on AirBnB… but have you ever coordinated multiple curated rents into a contemporary architecture exhibition in Venice?

From June 4th to June 6th — during the opening week of the 14th Venice Architecture Biennale — the independently organized AIRBNB Pavilion will showcase works by 15 contemporary architects and 15 artists characterized by themes of domesticity. Taking place across various Venetian apartments rented through AirBnB, the exhibition will critically embody the values of the nascent ‘sharing economy’, consciously challenging the predominant corporate ownership of domestic infrastructures. The locations of the Pavilion will be disclosed on the 3rd of June here.

Curated by architects Fabrizio Ballabio, Alessandro Bava, Luis Ortega Govela and Octave Perrault, AIRBNB Pavilion will exhibit the following artists and architects:
