Vernacular Criticism
Writer, critic, DIS contributor, and New Museum ‘net artist in residence,’ Brian Droitcour, is giving a talk on “Vernacular Criticism” Saturday, 3pm, at the New Museum. The king of Yelp gallery reviews will be discussing “writing about art outside the established channels of professional media,” and how the public sphere of social media “calls for a revision of institutional and critical practices.” Obviously we’re excited.
