Sunshine Unfinished is an infographic designed along the logic of the game Snakes and Ladders. The piece traces the history of the concept of transparency in politics, philosophy, architecture, and pop, from the year 109 AD to the present day.

The title of the work is a reference to the US Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis, who in 1914 stated that 'Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants [...]'. Additionally, WikiLeaks' parent organization is called the Sunshine Press. Thus the allusions to sunshine and light to cure, illuminate and make visible, play a part in the historical traces of the concept of transparency which this timeline follows.
