Organized in conjunction with Jacqueline Kiyomi Gordon: It Only Happens All of the Time at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, on view March 7-June 15. In this solo exhibition, Gordon explores sound’s ability to establish different levels of intimacy. The exhibition’s title points towards the ubiquitous presence of sound in that process, whether it exists at the periphery or center of our awareness. With selections by composers John Chowning, Aube, Elaine Radigue, and David Dunn, this contemplative mix demonstrates sound's infiltration and pervasiveness.     - Ceci Moss
