This New Year’s Eve, DIS was invited to create performance installation for Ryan Trecartin’s multi-level, multi-platform party #hi11. Preëmpting next-day water cooler chatter about the party, DIS brought the office and entertainment together for a hyperlinked headstart in the refresh_forum, presenting Exotic Vertical Integration with dancers Josiah and Breezelle. The model of this “Catalan Pavilion,” built by the artist Martí Anson at the center of Palais de Tokyo, is borrowed from a holiday home constructed by the artist’s father himself in the 1970s.
